5 Steps To Get A Flood Of New
Clients WITHOUT Wasting
a Dime on Advertising

Over the last few years I've helped some pretty big companies generate more clients for their businesses, and do that while getting a positive ROI.

Here's the exact 5 step process I've learned to get clients without wasting a dime on adverting.

1. Operate with complete integrity

This is one of the biggest problems I see these days. Know why?

Because everyone assumes that since people can't see their face they can bend the truth a little, or compromise their character to make a quick sale online.

This has to stop.

If you're not operating with total integrity, where what you think, and what you say, and what you do all line up, then you're hurting both your business and your clients.

Jay Abraham has a fantastic concept called the Strategy of Preeminence.

You can watch the full video but basically what he says is you need to be the best YOU, and then let everything in your life reflect that.

How you treat people, how you treat your clients, how you think about them, what solutions you recommend to them. They should all align with who you are.

Once you have that mindset and operate your business that way, then you need...

2. Know your numbers and focus 100% on results

Activity without results is a business killer.

And I’m not talking about the normal goal setting you’ve already heard a thousand times, or any of that Law of Attraction stuff you saw on the Secret.

This is all based on numbers and data because in the end, the numbers don’t lie.

Once you know exactly where you are and where you want to go, it’s so much easier to create a roadmap to get you there.

You'd be surprised how many times I talk with a potential client and they seem clueless as to where they want to go with their business.

When you have a crystal clear picture of where you want to go, mapping out the unknown becomes easy.

When I first meet with a client I’ll typically ask them this question...

"If you were looking back on the last 12 months, what would have to happen in your life (both personally and professionally) for you to be satisfied with your progress and results."

Think about the lifestyle you’d like to have. The amount of hours you’d like to work. The type of clients you’d like to help. Really spend the time thinking about your perfect day.

Write out how you would spend every hour.

This exercise isn’t so you can magically “attract” your dreams or anything like that, I have my clients do this because many times they’ve either forgotten why they started their business, so this helps jumpstart that passion again...

OR...

...they never spent the time to ask themselves what they wanted.

3. Model a proven sales funnel

Over the years I have found one thing that generates more leads, creates better engagement, and and delivers the best ROI, want to know what it is?

...And then, turn into a client.

And if your numbers produce a positive ROI for you, you can simply turn on an ad and get new clients whenever you want.

Most people out there are telling you to write a ton of blog posts, spend all your time on social media, or waste money on traditional marketing efforts.

You’re a professional, so you need to do what professionals are doing.

You need to go where the traffic already is, instead of trying to get it to come to you.

Professionals go where the traffic already is, then they present an irresistible offer. It’s that simple.

And the best way, hands down is to buy advertising on Facebook.

Why Facebook?

Facebook is also one of the top websites in the world, having almost 1.5 billion monthly active users as of Q2 of 2015, and 500 billion pageviews per month, and they continue to grow each month.

Plus, they have 1.3 billion mobile monthly active users as of Q2 2015, and yes they continue to grow.

So, with the continual increase in users accessing Facebook on a regular basis, this is a great place to reach your target audience.

But I think my favorite aspect about Facebook advertising is how you target your audience.

Places like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other advertising platforms allow you to choose keywords when placing your ads.

Facebook uses advanced demographic and psychographic targeting.

If you know the characteristics and demographics of your ideal customer you can target those exact characteristics when choosing who to serve your ad to.

For example, you can target by age, gender, interests, job title, books they’ve read, movies they’ve watched, other people they like, buying habits, whether they’ve visited your site, and more.

Facebook ads are one of the hidden gems of top marketers online.

But you're probably hesitant to invest in Facebook ads, especially if you've been burned with online advertising in the past.

Well here's a simple little formula that will almost always guarantee you don't lose money...

CPA < AOV = Profit.

So what that means is your cost per acquisition must be less than your average order value for you to essentially be able to print money.

And here are a few metrics you should consistently track. These are what I like to call Optimization Metrics.

  1. Cost per click (CPC) - your goal is $1-2
  2. Click through rate (CTR) - you want to see higher than 0.2%
  3. Relevance score - 5/10 or higher
  4. Cost per lead (CPL) - try and get to $5-7 per lead
  5. Landing page CVR - you want you landing page to convert at 20%
  6. Sales page CVR - your webinar should convert at 3-5%

Your cost per acquisition and average order value are what I call Profitability Metrics.

The performance of your CPA and AOV are based on your optimization metrics. You should already know your CPA and your AOV.

The quicker we can get to these numbers, the faster we can scale up.

So once you have a new lead, it's time we get them to know, like, and trust you...

5. Follow up effectively

This is what brings everything together because you may be able to generate clients using Facebook marketing, but if you’re not following up properly you’re throwing away your money.

And sadly, most of the clients I work with are.

Having an effective email followup is crucial.

Every email in your sequence should have a desired end result that benefits you and the reader.

It could be to make a sale. It could be to get an opt-in.

Or maybe you just want them to gain value by reading your content.

Whatever it is, you need to explicitly tell them to do it, and why.
